WHEREAS, Nevada 211 provides individuals with free, confidential assistance and resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and

WHEREAS, nonprofit organizations, State and government agencies, and educational institutions that provide essential health and human services can be listed on Nevada 211 to share information with Nevadans about available services and supports; and

WHEREAS, Nevada 211, through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services and administered by Money Management International, is available statewide on the website Nevada211.org, by dialing 211, by texting your zip code to 898211, or through two available apps; and

WHEREAS, Nevada 211 is committed to ensuring that those in need can connect with resources and supports to help their families achieve wellness and stability; and

WHEREAS, in the past year, Nevada 211 has received more than 98,000 calls with requests related to vital resources such as housing and utilities payment assistance, health care and mental health resources, transportation assistance, child care referrals, and other social programs; and

WHEREAS, Nevada 211 has been one of the central conveyors of COVID-19 information and resources to the public, providing empathic assistance to Nevadans statewide; and

WHEREAS, Nevada 211 provides a vital resource to communities and is a place where residents and visitors can go when in need and the State of Nevada recognizes and commends the staff of Nevada 211 for their ongoing commitment to serve our State;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim February 11, 2022, as
