WHEREAS, Tina Gerber-Winn has served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for 31 years; and
WHEREAS, Tina began her career with the Department of Health and Human Services on July 3, 1989, as a Social Worker Health Care Coordinator in the Elder Protective Services Unit at the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services where she investigated allegations of abuse, neglect, exploitation and isolation while making arrangement and referrals for services; and
WHEREAS, Tina promoted to a Social Services Chief III at the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy in the Continuum of Care Unit working in partnership with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services overseeing program policy development and payment procedures; and worked with the team on the implementation of the Medicaid Management Information System; and
WHEREAS, in 2005, Tina moved to the Aging and Disability Services Division as Deputy Administrator, overseeing programs serving vulnerable individuals where she consistently provided positive direction and thoughtful leadership, as well as program enhancements and implementation of electronic health records; and
WHEREAS, Tina promoted to Agency Manager over the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Rural Behavioral and Community Health Services in 2016 where her vision and leadership streamlined and improved efficiencies in the provision of direct services throughout rural Nevada while consistently encouraging staff development and guidance; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada thanks Tina Gerber-Winn for her years of dedicated service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim January 1, 2021, as a day in honor of
