
WHEREAS, Tamara Banks began her state service as a social worker with Nevada Medicaid, contributing to multiple programs supporting children, adults with physical disabilities, and individuals requiring long term services and supports; and
WHEREAS, through compassion, professionalism, and advocacy, Tamara has improved the lives of countless residents, offering guidance and support during their most challenging moments; and
WHEREAS, Tamara advanced into a supervisory role, taking on the responsibility of leading a diverse team of nurses and social workers with professionalism, empathy, and a deep commitment to high quality service; and
WHEREAS, Tamara provided steady and reliable leadership during a merger of programs to what is now the Aging and Disability Services Division, ensuring continuity of services and stability for staff and the individuals they served; and
WHEREAS, Tamara has served as a mentor and guide to colleagues and new professionals, generously sharing her expertise and helping to shape the next generation of social workers; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada expresses its gratitude to Tamara Banks for 25 years of outstanding service and extends its best wishes as she embarks on a well-earned and fulfilling retirement;
