
WHEREAS, Octavio Mendoza has honorably served the State of Nevada for over three decades, demonstrating unwavering dedication, professionalism, and excellence throughout his career; and
WHEREAS, Octavio began his distinguished service with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) at the Owens District Office on December 9, 1994, where he worked for nearly 19 years as a Family Specialist I and II, assisting countless Nevadans in accessing vital public assistance programs and resources; and
WHEREAS, on October 28, 2013, Octavio advanced to the Program Review and Evaluation Unit as a Quality Control Specialist I, where he applied his expertise to conduct Medicaid program audits, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and compliance with state and federal regulations; and
WHEREAS, Octavio's contributions have made a lasting impact on his colleagues, customers, and the broader Nevada community through his commitment to service, attention to detail, and compassionate approach to helping others; and
WHEREAS, his colleagues, friends, and co-workers deeply appreciate the dedication, knowledge, and kindness Octavio has brought to the workplace, and he will be sincerely missed by all who had the privilege of working alongside him; and
WHEREAS, Octavio Mendoza is hereby commended and honored for his exceptional career and exemplary public service, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude and best wishes for a retirement filled with health, happiness, and fulfillment;
