WHEREAS, Marian Henderson is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on September 5, 2025, after 25 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Marian started her career with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services on July 17, 2000, providing administrative and clerical support; and

WHEREAS, Marian was promoted as a Family Services Specialist on September 22, 2003, before transferring to the Department of Taxation; and

WHEREAS, Marian transferred to the Department of Taxation as a Revenue Officer 2 on November 24, 2003, and was promoted to the Management Analyst 2 position on January 24, 2005, serving for 9 years; and

WHEREAS, Marian transferred to Division of Child and Family Services as a Management Analyst 3 on May 5, 2014, before being promoted to a Management Analyst 4 position on May 9, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Marian transferred to the Department of Motor Vehicles as a Budget Analyst 3 on June 1, 2020, and was promoted to an Administrative Services Officer 3 on October 4, 2021, for her remaining time with the department; and

WHEREAS, Marian has endeared herself to all with her vast knowledge, dedication to service, and compassion for others; and

WHEREAS, Marian will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Marian’s 25 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement with her family by her side;
