
WHEREAS, Kim Hanke-McCutcheon, originally from New York, made her way to Nevada, and has dedicated her career to serving the people of this state with pride and integrity; and
WHEREAS, Kim has devoted 30 years of exemplary service to the State of Nevada, beginning her public service journey in 1996 as a DMV Accounting Clerk I and advancing through the ranks with consistent excellence, earning promotions to Revenue Officer II in 2023, a role in which she provided steady mentorship, and innovative direction across DMV operations; and
WHEREAS, Kim has contributed to the Department's mission statewide, working at the Nevada DMV during her entire career, and bringing her deep knowledge and positive presence to staff and customers alike; and
WHEREAS, she has taken a proactive role in developing and supporting new hires as a trainer and mentor, fostering a strong culture of learning, professionalism, and support throughout her teams; and
WHEREAS, Kim was instrumental in several projects throughout her career, including, but not limited to Vista TS, Genesis, Governor's Rebate Team, SME for Special Plates, SysMod, Starr, MCC Explore Project; and
WHEREAS, she assisted Special Plates with creating a program for our elected officials to receive their plates. Kim was inducted into the Senate book by former State Senator Mark Amodei as a thank you for all her hard work and committed dedication; and
WHEREAS, throughout her successful career, Kim has been supported by her loving family, including her husband Mike and her son Bobby, who have stood beside her and cheered her on as she dedicated herself to public service; and
WHEREAS, her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to service have made an enduring impact on the Department and on the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Kim's 30 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State, earning her right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement with her family;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim September 5, 2025, as a day in honor of
