
WHEREAS, Jennie Shipp's unwavering compassion and tireless dedication have made her a pillar of care and advocacy for people with intellectual disabilities across Nevada; and
WHEREAS, throughout her career with the Aging and Disability Services Division (ADSD), Jennie demonstrated a remarkable commitment not only to the wellbeing of people, but also to advancing the dignity and inclusion of every individual she served; and
WHEREAS, Jennie never saw her work as just a job-she went out of her way to listen, empower, and fiercely protect the rights- of those whose voices are too often overlooked; and
WHEREAS, her legacy is defined not simply by the years she served, but by the lives she changed, the families she comforted, and the colleagues she inspired; and
WHEREAS, Jennie's contributions have left an indelible mark on our community-her spirit of empathy and excellence continues to guide ADSD long after her retirement; and
WHEREAS, after 30 years of dedicated nursing service, Jennie's unwavering commitment, compassion, and professionalism have made a lasting impact on ADSD and the countless individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities she has cared for. Her contributions have set a standard of excellence that will continue to inspire our division for years to come; and
WHEREAS, on behalf of all Nevadans and the State of Nevada, we express our sincere appreciation and gratitude for her many years of outstanding contributions to public service. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
