
WHEREAS, Anna Olsen-Figueroa is a dedicated public servant who provided 25 years of exemplary service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, on August 14, 2000, Anna began her career as a compassionate social worker with the Division for Aging Services Community Based Care team, where she diligently worked to help countless older adults lead independent, meaningful and dignified lives; and
WHEREAS, Anna's leadership and expertise were recognized through her promotion to Social Work Supervisor on December 4, 2006, where she provided guidance and support to her colleagues, encouraging a culture of excellence and compassion within her team; and
WHEREAS, on February 29, ''2016, Anna took on the leadership role of Social Services Manager, where she led a team through change including the expansion of services to people with physical disabilities within what is now the Aging and Disability Services Division; and
WHEREAS, Anna has been described by her coworkers as dedicated, empathetic, empowering, knowledgeable, compassionate, and a leader whose expertise has strengthened the Aging and Disability Service Division's mission of promoting independence, dignity, and well-being of those we serve; and
WHEREAS, Anna's 25 years as a state employee exemplify the highest standards of service and professionalism in the field of social work and are a testament to her unwavering commitment, professional excellence, and heartfelt dedication to improving the quality of life of older adults and people with disabilities; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Anna Olsen-Figueroa for her outstanding tenure as a dedicated state employee and join her family, friends, and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation for her service. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
