WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes the growing significance of Esports as a powerful driver of innovation, education, and entertainment, bringing people of all ages and backgrounds together in an inclusive community of players, fans, educators, and entrepreneurs; and

WHEREAS, the Nevada Esports Education League (NEEL) has provided students and communities across the state with opportunities to learn teamwork, leadership, technology skills, and career readiness through structured Esports programs, demonstrating the value of competitive gaming as both an educational tool and community-building activity; and

WHEREAS, Velocity Esports, based in Nevada, stands as a leader in showcasing professional and community-based Esports, creating local opportunities for players, spectators, and sponsors to engage in events that strengthen Nevada’s role as a national hub for Esports; and

WHEREAS, Esports contributes to Nevada’s economy through tourism, technology innovation, workforce development, sponsorships, and event hosting—strengthening the state’s reputation as a premier destination not only for entertainment and hospitality, but also for cutting-edge digital competition; and

WHEREAS, global organizations, sponsors, and Nevada-based partners are uniting in celebration of World Esports Day 2025, fostering cultural exchange, global friendships, and economic collaboration through events, tournaments, and education-driven initiatives; and

WHEREAS, supporting Esports reflects Nevada’s commitment to preparing its youth for the future economy, advancing technology integration in education, and maintaining our state’s proud legacy of leadership in hospitality, gaming, and innovation; and

WHEREAS, Nevadans recognize the positive impact of Esports and support organizations such as the Nevada Esports Education League and Velocity Esports, while acknowledging the sponsors and partners who contribute to advancing Nevada’s position as a global leader in this rapidly growing industry;
