
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Adam Summers is retiring from the Nevada Department of Public Safety on October 10, 2025, after 25 years of dedicated service to the people of the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Summers began his career as a DPS Officer on September 25, 2000, serving multiple divisions including the Parole and Probation Division, Training Division, and the Nevada Highway Patrol, demonstrating steadfast commitment, professionalism, and a deep sense of duty; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Summers served as a DPS Sergeant with the Parole and Probation Division and Training Division where he mentored countless officers and helped uphold the high standards of performance and conduct; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Summers further exemplified his leadership as a DPS Lieutenant, serving as Parole and Probation’s Personnel Commander, then as Commander of the Office of Professional Responsibility, and again with Parole and Probation’s Warrants and Extradition Unit, where he worked to ensure accountability, integrity, and public trust in all areas of public safety; and
WHEREAS, Lieutenant Summers has had a distinguished career in public service and will be sincerely missed by all those who had the good fortune of working with him; and
WHEREAS, the Nevada Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation, and the State of Nevada join alongside his friends and co-workers in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Lieutenant Summers’ 25 years of outstanding and dedicated service to the residents of the Silver State and thank him for a job well done; 
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 10, 2025, as a day in honor of 
LIEUTENANT ADAM SUMMERS
