
WHEREAS, Kymberli Helms is a true Nevadan, born and raised in Las Vegas, and has dedicated her life and career to serving the people of her home state with pride and integrity; and
WHEREAS, Kymberli has devoted 30 years of exemplary service to the State of Nevada, beginning her public service journey in 1995 as a DMV Technician I and advancing through the ranks with consistent excellence, earning promotions to Supervisor in 1999 and Program Officer III in 2013—roles in which she provided steady leadership, mentorship, and innovative direction across DMV operations; and
WHEREAS, Kymberli has contributed to the Department’s mission statewide, working in every DMV field office in Nevada, and bringing her deep knowledge and positive presence to staff and customers alike; and 
WHEREAS, she has taken a proactive role in developing and supporting new hires as a trainer and mentor, fostering a strong culture of learning, professionalism, and support throughout her teams; and
WHEREAS, Kymberli was instrumental as a project manager in the planning and design of both the Sahara DMV office and the new Silverado DMV set to open next year—projects that will benefit Nevada communities for years to come; and
WHEREAS, she was appointed to the Governor’s Advisory Committee for the Prevention and Treatment of Stroke and Heart Disease to represent victims of crime, proudly lending her voice and expertise to a cause that ensures fairness, dignity, and compassion for some of Nevada’s most vulnerable citizens; and
WHEREAS, throughout her successful career, Kymberli has been supported by her loving family, including her daughter, Draven Lee and brother, Greg Helms, who have stood beside her and cheered her on as she dedicated herself to public service; and
WHEREAS, her professionalism, leadership, and commitment to service have made an enduring impact on the Department and on the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles, and the State of Nevada express our sincere appreciation for her 30 years of outstanding and dedicated public service to the residents of the Silver State.  We extend our best wishes for a fulfilling and well-deserved retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 1, 2025, as a day in honor of
