WHEREAS, the Ely Lions Club was chartered in 1925 and has served the Ely community with unwavering dedication for a full century; and

WHEREAS, the Club has embodied the Lions Clubs’ International motto, "We Serve", through countless initiatives supporting vision care, youth programs, humanitarian aid, and community development; and

WHEREAS, the Ely Lions Club has played a vital role in promoting civic pride, volunteerism, and leadership, enriching the lives of residents across generations; and

WHEREAS, the Club's commitment to service has included innovative efforts in mental health awareness, support for local schools, and preservation of Ely's unique heritage; and

WHEREAS, the year 2025 marks the 100th anniversary of the Ely Lions Club, a milestone that reflects not only longevity but also the enduring impact of its mission and members; and

WHEREAS, the Ely Lions Club will commemorate this centennial with a 1920s-themed celebration at the historic Nevada Northern Railway East Ely Depot Freight Barn, honoring its past and inspiring future service; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends the Ely Lions Club and its members for their service, dedication and enduring commitment to the communities they serve;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 26, 2025, as
