WHEREAS, Kelly Williams retired from the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (NDCNR) after dedicating 27 years to public service with the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Kelly began her distinguished State career on March 30, 1998, with the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Protection all while pursuing her degree in Information Systems from the University of Nevada, Reno, which she earned in 2004; and

WHEREAS, Kelly took a 3-year detour from NDCNR to work at the Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs before returning in August 2014 to her current home in the Director's Office, where she has served with excellence as the Chief Fiscal Officer for the Department; and

WHEREAS, Kelly has led the fiscal team at NDCNR through many challenges and changes, constantly striving to improve processes for internal efficiencies; and

WHEREAS, throughout her career, Kelly has contributed her expertise across multiple areas within the Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, including the Division of Environmental Protection (Bureau of Waste Management, Bureau of Mining Regulation and Reclamation, Bureau of Water Pollution Control, and the Clean Water State Revolving Loan Fund program), the Division of Forestry, and the Director's Office; and

WHEREAS, with 27 years of employment, Kelly's fiscal responsibility to the great State of Nevada, and her work ethic, serves as an exceptional example for all state employees; and

WHEREAS, in honor of Kelly and in recognition of her significant contributions to the great State of Nevada, her family, friends, and co-workers would like to commend her for her years of dedication, devotion, and honorable service. On behalf of all Nevadans, we extend to Kelly our sincere thanks and gratitude for her years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada, and extend best wishes for a healthy, happy, and fulfilling retirement;
