WHEREAS, on July 20, 2025, Bekah Bock is retiring from the Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Rural Clinics after a total of 28 years of loyal, diligent, and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Bekah began her career with the State of Nevada in 1997 as a Psychiatric Caseworker at Carson City Rural Clinics for approximately 2 years; and

WHEREAS, Bekah received several promotions during her time at Rural Clinics. She was promoted to a Clinical Social Work Intern in 1999 where she provided outpatient mental health therapy to a caseload of 75 serious mentally ill adults; and

WHEREAS, Bekah excelled in her leadership within Rural Clinics and became Acting Clinic Director in 2007 providing secondary supervision to service coordinators and clinical staff; and

WHEREAS, Bekah continued in her leadership role promoting to Director of Clinical Services in 2009 and Clinic Director of Carson City Rural Clinics in 2012. She provided exceptional leadership to Rural Clinics providing direct supervision to an interdisciplinary team of administrative staff, psychologists, clinical social workers and psychiatric caseworkers; and

WHEREAS, Bekah's final position within Rural Clinics represents the culmination of her dedicated leadership and unwavering commitment to rural mental health services. In 2014, she pioneered the role of the first clinician for the Carson City Mobile Outreach Safety Team, working in collaboration with the Carson City Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, in this capacity, Bekah provided vital mental health crisis response services to the Carson City community, setting a strong foundation for integrated behavioral health support in the region. In this role, Bekah also served on the Crisis Negotiation Team, facilitated Crisis Intervention Team Training (CIT), and wellness and peer support programming for the Carson City Sheriff's Office; and

WHEREAS, during her 28 years of service Bekah has worked under six Governors including Bob Miller, Kenny Guinn, Jim Gibbons, Brian Sandoval, Steve Sisolak, and Joe Lombardo as well as countless Agency Managers and Administrators including recent Division Administrator Cody Phinney and current Agency Manager Ellen Richardson-Adams; and

WHEREAS, the Division of Public and Behavioral Health: Rural Clinics and the State of Nevada expresses sincere appreciation and gratitude to Bekah Bock for her 28 years of outstanding commitment and excellence in service to the citizens of the Silver State. She is able to leave her position with dignity and grace knowing that she has made a difference in our community. We extend our best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
