WHEREAS, Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas is celebrating its 100th Anniversary on December 4, 2025; and

WHEREAS, Kiwanis International is a global organization of volunteers dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time; and

WHEREAS, Kiwanis International sponsors Kiwanis Clubs in Southern Nevada, including the Las Vegas, Henderson/Green Valley, and Pahrump clubs; and

WHEREAS, Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas sponsors numerous Service Leadership Programs including Key Club International for high school students, Circle K International for college and university students, K-Kids for elementary school students, Builders Club for middle school students, and Aktion Club for adult with disabilities; and

WHEREAS, Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas additionally supports the Educator of the Year program in partnership with the Clark County School District for over 25 years, the Varsity Quiz competition for Southern Nevada high school students for over 40 years, and K-One Day in April with KEY Club support for a community improvement project in Southern Nevada

WHEREAS, Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas also sponsors annual youth development programs and an annual Leadership Training Class for middle and high school students, an annual Kiwanis-Rotary Thanksgiving Canned Food Drive benefiting the Salvation Army of Southern Nevada for over 70 years, and the Christmas Child Holiday Shoeboxes Project; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends the Kiwanis Club of Las Vegas and its members for their service, dedication, and enduring commitment to the communities they serve;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim December 4, 2025, as a day in recognition of
