
WHEREAS, Cynthia Perkins is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on December 12, 2025, after 30 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia started her career with the Department of Motor Vehicles on December 4th, 1995 working as a DMV Technician Trainee; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia was promoted within the Department of Motor Vehicles in July of 1996, where she began her career with the Department as a Field Services Technician I. Cynthia continued to progress through the various Technician ranks II, III and IV; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia was promoted to DMV Services Supervisor in Field Services in October of 2000 for approximately 8 years; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia was promoted to DMV Services Manager at the Flamingo Office in Field Services in October of 2008; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia has exemplified compassion, kindness, understanding, and an unwavering dedication to service throughout her 30-year career with the Department of Motor Vehicles; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia has generously mentored and coached countless peers, fostering growth and excellence across the department; and
WHEREAS, Cynthia will truly be missed-both professionally and personally-by all who had the pleasure and good fortune to work alongside her; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada join with her coworkers and leadership in expressing our deepest appreciation for Cynthia's outstanding service to the department and to the residents of our Silver State and we extend our best wishes for a healthy, happy and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim December 12, 2025, as a day in honor of
