WHEREAS, Nancy Garcia is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on January 3, 2025, after 29 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Nancy started her career with the Department of Corrections on August 8, 1989; and

WHEREAS, Nancy transferred to the Department of Motor Vehicles on November 29, 1993, where she began her career with the Department as a Field Services Technician I. Nancy continued to progress through the various Technician ranks; and

WHEREAS, after taking some time off from State service in 2007, Nancy returned to the Department of Motor Vehicles briefly on February 16, 2010, to April 10, 2010; and

WHEREAS, Nancy again returned to the Department of Motor Vehicles on February 19, 2013, as a Technician IV in the Winnemucca Office; and

WHEREAS, Nancy was promoted to Supervisor of the Winnemucca Office on August 14, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Nancy has endeared herself to all with her vast knowledge, dedication to service, and compassion for others; and

WHEREAS, Nancy will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Nancy's 29 years of outstanding service to this Department and the residents of our Silver State, earning her right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim January 3, 2025, as a day in honor of
