WHEREAS, the construction industry is a vital contributor to the economy and infrastructure of the State of Nevada, providing well-paying jobs for thousands of Nevadans and playing a crucial role in the development of safe, sustainable, and innovative communities; and

WHEREAS, careers in construction offer a wide range of opportunities for individuals of all backgrounds and skill levels, from skilled tradespeople to engineers, architects, project managers, and beyond; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada recognizes the importance of educating and encouraging our youth and workforce about the many rewarding and viable career paths available within the construction industry; and

WHEREAS, the demand for skilled workers in the construction sector continues to grow, highlighting the need for training, education, and apprenticeship programs that will prepare the next generation of industry professionals; and

WHEREAS, organizations such as the Nevada Chapter of Associated General Contractors (AGC), construction companies, educational institutions, and community partners are actively engaged in promoting careers in construction through events, initiatives, and outreach efforts throughout the year; and

WHEREAS, October is an opportune time to celebrate and promote the contributions of the construction industry to Nevada's economy and to inspire individuals to pursue fulfilling careers in this essential field;
