WHEREAS, the State of Nevada has been enriched by the diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of immigrants throughout its history; and

WHEREAS, Immigrant Heritage Month is a time to recognize and celebrate the invaluable impact immigrants have made and continue to make on the social, cultural, and economic fabric of our great state; and

WHEREAS, the rich tapestry of the immigrant in Nevada strengthens our communities, foster innovation, and promotes understanding and unity among all residents; and

WHEREAS, Nevada recognizes the fundamental principles of equality, opportunity, and respect for all individuals regardless of their background or country of origin; and

WHEREAS, during this month, we honor the resilience, perseverance, and achievements of immigrants who have come to Nevada in search of a better life for themselves and their families, and we reaffirm our commitment to upholding the values of equality, opportunity, and respect for all individuals in our society; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada joins communities and states across the nation to celebrate the important role of immigrants in the history of our great State and country, as well as recognizing the important role they continue to have in shaping our future;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the month of June 2024 as
