WHEREAS, Erin Williams has provided over 30 years of state service to Nevada, within the Department of Health and Human Services where she has displayed exceptional optimism, impeccable work ethic, and undaunted dedication to public service; and
WHEREAS, Erin started her career as a Management Analyst I and continuously worked her way up into the Chief Information Technology Manager, where she served until October of 2023; and
WHEREAS, Erin was instrumental in the implementation of the first electronic health record for State services, and untold numbers of staff and clients benefited from her management of the pharmacy information system; and
WHEREAS, Erin's dedication and leadership were evident in ensuring the information technology systems were secure, efficient, and constantly improving to allow the delivery of public and behavioral health services statewide; and
WHEREAS, Erin led the technology response for public health during the COVID pandemic by ensuring employees could work efficiently and effectively, allowing for continuity of operations in Nevada's state mental health facilities, and tracking of appropriate disease statistics for epidemiological follow up; and
WHEREAS, Erin has concluded her career with the Division of Public and Behavioral Health as the Deputy Administrator over Administrative Services. During her service in this role, the agency's fiscal and information technology sections have been held to high standards due to Erin's expert professional knowledge and constant focus of improvement; and
WHEREAS, Erin is leaving the state of Nevada a healthier, safer and better place to live, work and visit; and in recognition of her significant contributions to the State of Nevada, we would like to give her best wishes for a healthy, happy, prosperous, and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim July 19, 2024, as a day in honor of
