WHEREAS, Jennifer Pitts is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on Thursday, August 1, 2024, after 28 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer started her career with the Department of Motor Vehicles in July 1996 as a Clerical Trainee in the Central Services Division of the DMV; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer then in 1999 helped transform the Department from separate program types to establish a full-service Field Services Division where she was a DMV Technician III, she was then promoted to a DMV Supervisor of the Gardnerville office; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer was then promoted into the Research and Project Management Division, formerly known as Management Services and Programs in November 2012, to the position of Program Officer III; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer was promoted into the Central Services Division in 2020 eventually returning to Research and Project Management in July 2022 to finish out her career; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer has endeared herself to all with her vast knowledge, dedication and compassion, and her infectious personality; and

WHEREAS, Jennifer will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles, and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for her 28 years of outstanding service to this department and the citizens of our Silver State, earning her the right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim August 1, 2024, as a day in honor of
