WHEREAS, Loretta (Lori) Cook will retire from the State of Nevada after 27 years of dedicated service; and
WHEREAS, Lori has served in several Divisions of the Department of Health and Human Services, and provided much needed support to the programs and the people of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, while working with the Division of Public and Behavioral Health, Lori assisted in the backlog of amendments to vital records documents including marriage, divorce and name change records; and
WHEREAS, Lori streamlined the Title IV-B Family Preservation grant while working at the Division of Child and Family Services; and
WHEREAS, during her time with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services Lori assisted with the transition to a new data system; and provided mentoring and training to new employees at the Professional Development Center; and
WHEREAS, Lori will end her career with the State of Nevada at the Division of Health Care Financing and Policy; and
WHEREAS, on behalf of all Nevadans we extend to Lori Cook our sincere thanks and gratitude for 27 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim April 5, 2024, as
