WHEREAS, Tannia Homme is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on November 17, 2023, after 26 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Tannia started her career with the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles on June 2, 1997, as a DMV Field Services trainee; and
WHEREAS, Tannia continued to progress through her career with the Department as a DMV Field Services Technician I, II, and III for approximately 20 years; and
WHEREAS, Tannia was promoted on December 18, 2017, to DMV Field Services Technician IV Drive Examiner for approximately 6 years; and
WHEREAS, Tannia administered drive tests and ensured that drivers are qualified and meet the minimum driving standards; and
WHEREAS, Tannia received her Driver Examiner certification from the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators for Non-CDL and Motorcycle drivers; and
WHEREAS, Tannia displayed good customer service and maintained a professional, knowledgeable, and friendly demeanor while assisting both internal and external customers; and
WHEREAS, Tannia will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure to work with her; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada join with co-workers and management in expressing our profound appreciation for Tannia's 26 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State, earning her the right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement with her family, especially her grandchildren;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 17, 2023 as a day in honor of
