WHEREAS, Jo Anne Hill was the first Executive Director for the Nevada Fire Chiefs Association and served with dignity and grace; and

WHEREAS, Jo Anne Hill was the co-founder of FireShowsWest and its predecessors, the largest and longest running firefighter and emergency responder conference and expo in the western United States, which has always been based in Nevada, she has been at the forefront for the improvement of the health, wellness, safety, and leadership development of first responders all across Nevada and the west; and

WHEREAS, Jo Anne Hill's event planning programs have produced numerous learning, strategy, and tactical training exercises for emergency managers throughout the State of Nevada who, without her skills and knowledge, would be less prepared for today's ever changing disaster and emergency environment; and

WHEREAS, Jo Anne Hill has been a longtime mentor, friend, supporter, and Life Member of the Nevada State Firefighters Association and provided leadership to all career and volunteer firefighters throughout the state of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, on behalf of Nevada First Responders we extend to Jo Anne Hill our sincere thanks and gratitude for her 40 plus years of professional excellence and loyal service to the state of Nevada Fire Service;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim September 19, 2023 as a day in honor of
