WHEREAS, Christa Williams has completed a career of honorable and dedicated service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Christa first entered state service in 1994 working for the Department of Motor Vehicles and completed her service in October 2023 with the Office of the Secretary of State; and

WHEREAS, Christa served Nevada proudly working in five state agencies during her career to support the social, health, and voting needs of millions of Nevadans as the state grew from a population of 1.38 million to more than 3.20 million; and

WHEREAS, Christa joined the Office of the Secretary of State's Election Division prior to the 2020 election and played an important role on the Elections team during that election which was considered the most scrutinized and yet most secure election in American history; and

WHEREAS, Christa has consistently chosen for her profession the most challenging of roles; directly responding to the questions, concerns, and needs of the millions of business owners and voters across the state whom she has selflessly supported hour after hour for decades; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada and the Office of the Secretary of State commend Christa on her dedication to the state and commitment to the improvement of the lives of millions of Nevadans and, along with colleagues, friends and family, extend best wishes for a happy, healthy, and prosperous retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim October 31, 2023 as a day in honor of
