WHEREAS, Loretta Smith is retiring from the State of Nevada Division of Emergency Management and is being awarded this recognition as a testimonial of loyal and dedicated service for the past 30 years; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's dedicated entered into State server in the Nevada Comptroller's Office from 1993 to 1996, her performance of duty allowed her to move to more challenging positions within the State; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's service at the Nevada Division of Forestry from 1996 to 2004, and we wish to extend to her our sincere appreciation for his outstanding performance of duty; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's dedication to State duty has had a valuable and meaningful effects to the Nevada Division of Emergency Management from 2004 to 2023, and we wish to extend to her our sincere appreciation for his outstanding performance of duty; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith participated in many positive changes to support the first responder community and emergency management through emergency incident exercises, emergency operations center activations and community service projects; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Smith's retirement plans include being a full-time Grandma and being with her family. Her loving family includes her two sons, Michael and Bobby, three grandchildren, Reed, Kenna and Logan. We wish her the best and will always have a seat for her in the emergency operations center;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim May 4, 2023 as a day in honor of
