WHEREAS, Ana Torrez is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on March 6, 2023 after 25 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Ana started her career with the Department of Motor Vehicles in Las Vegas on October 20, 1997, as a DMV Field Services Technician; and
WHEREAS, Ana was promoted to a DMV Field Services Tech II on March 6, 1999 and was promoted to a DMV Field Services III on October 20, 1999; and
WHEREAS, Ana transferred to the DMV Compliance Enforcement Division as an Occupational and Business Licensing Technician III in 2011; and
WHEREAS, Ana has endeared herself to all with her vast knowledge, dedication to service, and compassion for others; and
WHEREAS, Ana will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Ana's 25 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State, earning her the right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement with her daughter Brianna, her son Ivan and her husband Edgar all by her side; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim March 27, 2023 as a day in honor of
