WHEREAS, On June 14, 2023, Lupe Garrison will be retiring from the Nevada Board of Parole Commissioners after 27 years of loyal, diligent, and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Lupe has respectfully, professionally, and ethically served the State of Nevada, starting her career at the Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation April 24, 1996, as a Word Processing Operator 1; and
WHEREAS, during her career Lupe promoted and held the following positions: Program Specialist IV, Parole and Probation Specialist II, and Parole and Probation Specialist III with Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation; and
WHEREAS, Lupe was then promoted to Hearings Examiner I with the Board of Parole commissioners July 25, 2011; and
WHEREAS, Lupe has endeared herself to all with her dedication to service, and compassion for others; and
WHEREAS, in honor of Lupe and in recognition of her significant contributions to the Department of Public Safety, Board of Parole Commissioners, the State of Nevada, and her friends and co-workers would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service and extend their best wishes for a happy, healthy, prosperous, and fulfilling retirement; and
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 14, 2023 as a day in honor of
