WHEREAS, Kevin Malone is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles on June 23, 2023 after 25 years of professional excellence and loyal service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Kevin started his career with the Department of Motor Vehicles in June 1998, as a Staff Professional Trainee; and
WHEREAS, Kevin was promoted to a Public Information Officer I in June of 1999; and
WHEREAS, in March of 2020, Kevin was promoted to a Public Information Officer II; and
WHEREAS, Kevin has endeared himself to all with his vast knowledge, dedication to service, and compassion for others; and
WHEREAS, Kevin will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all those who had the pleasure and good fortune to work with him; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Motor Vehicles and the State of Nevada joins with co-workers and management in expressing our profound and sincere appreciation for Kevin's 25 years of outstanding service to this department and the residents of our Silver State, earning him the right to enjoy a well-deserved and happy retirement where he can see what kind of trouble he can get into with his free time, including a trip to Airdrie, Canada to visit his brother and plans for training his pup Spot (Jack Russell);
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim June 23, 2023 as a day in honor of
