WHEREAS, Supervisor Nora Antonucci has safe guarded Nevada, offered solutions, and reshaped lives for over twenty-five years. She is a perfectionist and committed to making a difference and effecting change; and
WHEREAS, Nora graduated from the University of Nevada Las Vegas in 1996 with a degree in Criminal Justice; and
WHEREAS, Nora's commitment to public service with the Division of Parole and Probation started in February 1998 where she attended Academy 98-1 in Boulder City and was the Top Female Athlete in class; and
WHEREAS, after completing field training, Nora was assigned to the Intensive Supervision Unit, North Las Vegas Parole and Probation Office, and Interstate Compact, when Nevada first joined the Interstate Commission for Adult Offender Supervision (ICAOS); and
WHEREAS, Nora became a Defensive Tactics Instructor where she trained cadets and veteran staff, field training officer, earned her Basic Instructor Development certification, and became a Certified Public Manager; and
WHEREAS, Nora served as an officer from 1998 to 2003, when she demoted to a Specialist III, promoted to a supervisor in 2008 in Court Services and transferred to Interstate Compact in the same role in 2018; and
WHEREAS, Nora was instrumental in working with a group who created a state-wide presentence investigation format, trained specialist in Court Services, Interstate Compact, and Post Conviction Reports; and
WHEREAS, Nora is an avid supporter of her kid's soccer events and was part of a "mom group" who were just as passionate about the outcome of events as the kids were; and
WHEREAS, the Nevada State Police and the State of Nevada joins with Nora's family, friends, and co-workers in sharing our heartfelt and sincere appreciation for her 25 years of faithful service to the citizens and visitors of our Silver State. Best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
