WHEREAS, on February 3, 2023, Andrea Allen will be retiring from the State of Nevada with over 30 years of loyal, diligent, and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Andrea Allen has diligently and faithfully served the State of Nevada, starting her career at the Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR) in June 1989 as a Student Worker. During her 16 year career with DETR, Andrea promoted to Accounting Assistant I and held positions of Accounting Assistant II and III; and

WHEREAS, During her career, Andrea promoted and held the following positions: Enterprise IT Services as an Administrative Assistant III and promoting to Administrative Assistant IV; Accountant Technician at the Department of Taxation; Program Officer I and Program Officer II with the Secretary of State's Office; Management Analyst III with the Department of Business and Industry; Management Analyst IV with the Treasurer's Office; and

WHEREAS, Andrea then promoted to Administrative Services Officer II and promoted to Administrative Services Officer III with the Department of Employment, Training, and Rehabilitation (DETR);and

WHEREAS, In 2021, Andrea joined the Department of Public Safety, Division of Parole and Probation as the Chief Fiscal Officer, providing supervision, valuable training and mentoring for her staff and employees; and

WHEREAS, Andrea has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her decades of service to the State of Nevada, during which the State was fortunate to have her as an advocate and civil servant. As she concludes her public service to her fellow citizens, she is able to leave her position with dignity knowing she has made a difference in the State; and

WHEREAS, in honor of Andrea and in recognition of her significant contributions to the State, the Department of Public Safety, the State of Nevada, and her friends and co-workers would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service and extend their best wishes for a happy, healthy, prosperous and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the day of February 3, 2023 as a day of honor
