WHEREAS, Elizabeth Mayers has served the Silver State with distinction and professional excellence for 30 years; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth began her career in state service with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services (DWSS) on November 22, 1993, where she worked as a Family Specialist I & II providing various public assistance programs and resources to Nevadans; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth promoted to the Division of Health Care Finance and Policy (DHCFP) to Quality Control Specialist II on September 11, 1995; and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth returned to the DWSS in 2013 where due to her extensive program knowledge, she was a part of the Centralized Hearings Representative Team (CHRT) and promoted again on November 5, 2018 to her current position as a Quality Control Specialist I in the Program Review and Evaluation Unit where she conducted audits to ensure accuracy of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP); and
WHEREAS, Elizabeth will be sincerely missed by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her as she has been dedicated throughout her tenure with the State; and
WHEREAS, in honor of Elizabeth and in recognition of her contributions to the State of Nevada, colleagues, friends and co-workers would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service, and extend their best wishes for a healthy, happy, prosperous, and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JOE LOMBARDO, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim December 6, 2023 as a day in honor of
