Proclamation Extending the Emergency for the Davis Wildfire

WHEREAS, on September 8, 2024, I declared a state of emergency in Washoe County due to the Davis Fire; and

WHEREAS, the Davis Fire has burned more than 5,800 acres, destroyed 18 structures, and continues to threaten multiple communities, as well as critical infrastructure within Washoe County; and

WHEREAS, evacuations related to the Davis Fire remain ongoing.

NOW, THEREFORE, pursuant to the authority vested in me by the Constitution and laws of the State of Nevada, I hereby extend the state of emergency in Washoe County for the Davis Fire through September 18, 2024.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the Great Seal of the State of Nevada to be affixed at the State Capitol in Carson City, this 13st day of September, in the year two thousand twenty-four.
