WHEREAS, the purpose of Rebuilding Day is to revitalize neighborhoods by providing safe and healthy homes for its most vulnerable neighbors, including seniors, veterans, people with disabilities and families with young children; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Day involves completing projects at no cost to homeowners thanks to the help of generous funding and many volunteers; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Day includes making improvements ranging from the most basic to major home rehabilitations, accessibility modifications, energy-efficient upgrades and community landscaping, varying issues such as health, the environment, the economy and housing can be connected as part of a positive chain reaction that develops into permanent, sustainable change; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Day builds partnerships with Nevada's businesses, government and philanthropic communities to assist low- and moderate-income homeowners so they can continue to live in the comfort and safety of their own homes; and

WHEREAS, Rebuilding Day is an opportunity to encourage all Nevadans to be safer and healthier at home; and

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the day of April 24, 2021 as
