
WHEREAS, pharmacy is one of the oldest health professions concerned with the health and well-being of all people; and
WHEREAS, pharmacists in Nevada are one of the most accessible members of the health care team and are able to make a significant positive impact on the patients that they serve; and
WHEREAS, pharmacists provide services such as educating patients of prescription and non-prescription drugs with adequate medication therapy to assure optimal outcomes for patients; and
WHEREAS, pharmacists are an essential member of the health care team by collaborating with other medical providers to improve medication use and outcomes; and
WHEREAS, pharmacists provide expertise and accessibility crucial to patients during the current pandemic, by providing COVID-19 vaccines to the public; and
WHEREAS, it is important to promote the profession of pharmacy as an essential health care provider in the Silver State;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the month of October 2021, as
