WHEREAS, Nevada State Employees work passionately and tirelessly every day to serve Nevada's residents and visitors, including in education, health, public safety, economic development, unemployment, agriculture, law, transportation, tourism, and social services; and

WHEREAS, over the unprecedented challenges of the past year, brought by the global COVID-19 pandemic, and resulting economic and budget hardships, State Employees have gone above and beyond to provide critical services to Nevadans in need; and

WHEREAS, these State Employees, in the face of such challenges, maintain unwavering professionalism, purpose, commitment, and quality that is the mark of excellence in public service; and

WHEREAS, these State Employees are a central and vital part of Nevada's recovery and emblematic of Nevada’s Resilience; and

WHEREAS, these dedicated public servants continue to earn our gratitude, reverence, and recognition for their contributions to the Great State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, as Governor of the great State of Nevada, I am proud to serve in a state where our employees continue to demonstrate excellence everyday;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the week of May 2-8, 2021 as
