WHEREAS, Disabled American Veterans, in response to the needs of the sick and injured Veterans after World War I, was established in 1920 to assist disabled Veterans, including active duty military, National Guard/Reserves, and their families; and

WHEREAS, Disabled American Veterans provides a powerful voice for disabled Veterans in Washington, fighting for the benefits and rights of those who served our country in the U.S. Armed Forces; and

WHEREAS, chartered in 1972, Disabled American Veterans, Department of Nevada, has served the disabled Veterans of the state with unwavering dedication and commitment for more than four decades; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada wishes to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of Disabled American Veterans to our communities across the Silver State, and the Nevada family thanks all members for their dedicated service to our country;
