
WHEREAS, Tay Weber is retiring from the Department of Health and Human Services Division of Welfare and Supportive Services on August 2, 2021 after more than 25 years of professional excellence and devoted service to the State of Nevada; and
WHEREAS, Tay started his professional career with the State of Nevada in January 1996 with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services as an Employment and Training Specialist for the TANF NEON Program; and
WHEREAS, Tay was promoted to a Family Services Supervisor in August 1998 and was instrumental in facilitating the growth and professional development of Welfare and NEON Staff, his extensive knowledge and experience has been invaluable to his staff; and
WHEREAS, Tay has impacted countless Nevadans in their search for self-sufficiency by aiding and assisting Nevadans with overcoming barriers and attaining careers for the betterment of themselves and their families; and
WHEREAS, Tay has worked under the administration of five Governors during his career in the State of Nevada, his career began under Governor Bob Miller and he is retiring under Governor Steve Sisolak; and
WHEREAS, the State of Nevada commends Tay Weber on his outstanding tenure as a dedicated State of Nevada employee and joins his family, friends, and colleagues in extending sincere appreciation for his years of dedicated service, with best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the day of August 2, 2021, as a day in honor of
TAY WEBER
