WHEREAS, Tamara “Tami” Smith is retiring from the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation on November 12, 2021, after 30 years of loyal, dedicated and exceptional public service to the State of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Tami Smith began her state service working as a file clerk in the State Industrial Insurance System (SIIS), promoted to Administrative Assistant IV with the Department of Health and Human Services and was an integral training professional for the WEBIZ system travelling Statewide to healthcare facilities; and

WHEREAS, Tami Smith continued her career, promoting to a Program Officer at the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation’s Employment Security Division’s Workforce Investment Support Services unit working on the development and implementation of the EmployNV management information system and now completes her professional career with the State of Nevada as the Career Enhancement and Silver State Works Programs Coordinator; and

WHEREAS, Tami Smith served the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation with determination and commitment, and will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally by all who have had the pleasure to work with her; and

WHEREAS, Tami Smith’s personal commitment to the community has been profoundly recognized by those who know her and who now embarks on a new chapter of her life; and

WHEREAS, the Department of Employment, Training and Rehabilitation and on behalf of its employees and clients extend to Tami Smith sincere thanks and gratitude for her 30 years of commitment to excellence and service to the citizens of the Silver State;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 12, 2021, as a day in honor of
