WHEREAS, Sarah E. Roseland is retiring from the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, after twenty-six years of professional excellence; and

WHEREAS, Sarah began her career in State service with the Department of Business and Industry on February 12, 1998, as a Management Assistant for the Nevada Attorney for Injured Workers Division where she worked as a receptionist and file clerk; and

WHEREAS, Sarah promoted to an Eligibility Certification Specialist (ECS) with the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services on March 26, 2001 where she worked as a Case Manager providing various public assistance programs and resources to Nevadans; and

WHEREAS, Sarah had a profound influence on every person she had contact with by exhibiting care and compassion to her co-workers, customers, and all citizens of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Sarah has displayed exceptional commitment and dedication throughout her career with the State of Nevada, during which time citizens of this State were fortunate to have her as an advocate and civil servant. Through her service, she can leave her position knowing that her honorable work provided assistance to Nevadans to better her community and State; and

WHEREAS, Sarah will be sincerely missed by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and in honor of Sarah and in recognition of her significant contributions to the State of Nevada, the State, colleagues, friends and co-workers would like to thank and commend her for her years of devoted and honorable service, and extend their best wishes for a healthy, happy, prosperous and fulfilling retirement;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim the day of July 23, 2021, as a day in honor of
