WHEREAS, Mary Patton served the State of Nevada with distinction and professional excellence for more than 27 years; and

WHEREAS, Mary began working for the State of Nevada, Department of Taxation, on March 29, 1993, as an Accounting Clerk I; and

WHEREAS, Mary has served as a role model for all those she worked with, and her commitment to public service and expertise have been invaluable to the State and to the Department of Taxation; and

WHEREAS, Mary has had a profound influence on all persons she has had contact with by exhibiting care and compassion for her co-workers and for all citizens of Nevada, remaining helpful, dedicated, and self-motivated; and

WHEREAS, Mary will be sincerely missed, both professionally and personally, by all who have had the pleasure and good fortune to work with her; and

WHEREAS, the State of Nevada thanks Mary Patton for her years of dedicated service to the citizens and visitors of our great state and offers best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement;
