WHEREAS, Mary Morgan is retiring from the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) on November 26, 2021 after twenty-seven years of dedicated service to the DMV and the citizens of Nevada; and

WHEREAS, Mary began her public service career as a temporary employee at the Carey DMV on August 22, 1994. She quickly became a fulltime employee and after moving to the Sahara office, she was put in charge of training new hires in registrations and titles; and

WHEREAS, in 1998 Mary was recruited to work on the DMV's new application program, Genesis. As part of this team, she was responsible for developing rules for programming, creating policies and procedures and training. This work was the springboard for the creation of the Application Support Group who aid the internal user community in using the CARRS application; and

WHEREAS, during the years Mary has been with the Application Support Group she has been instrumental in developing processes for plate ordering, registration processing, kiosk, web and MyDMV processes. Mary is considered the foremost expert in registration; and

WHEREAS, Mary has been an integral part of the Department and Application Support and her knowledge, integrity and friendship will be missed. The DMV is a better place because of Mary Morgan and we wish her the best in all that life has in store for her;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, STEVE SISOLAK, GOVERNOR OF THE STATE OF NEVADA, do hereby proclaim November 26, 2021, as a day in honor of
