Summer Youth Internship Program Graduation
31 students completing the program
Since 2018, DETR’s Bureau of Vocational Rehabilitation has paired 267 students with disabilities to internships across the state, through their Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP). This year, we celebrate the graduation of 31 students. Those clients ages 17-21 can earn an income and gain work experience over the summer, some of them landing full-time jobs at the completion of their internship. Each client works throughout the city, in a job based on their area of interest.
Media is invited to celebrate the final day of their internship and the skills they gained during this experience, in Las Vegas and Reno. VR counselors, VR leadership, parents, students, and Governor Sisolak will be at the event.
DETR’s Vocational Rehabilitation Summer Youth Internship Program (SYIP) Graduation Ceremony
Aug 5, 2022, from 3-4 p.m.
Press is asked to RSVP to email@example.com by 5 p.m. on Thursday, for additional location details.
