Grand Opening of Child Care Services Center in Reno to Support Providers and Families

Nevada Strong Start Child Care Services Center (CCSC), with funding from the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, is hosting a launch with Governor Steve Sisolak and local dignitaries on July 14.

CCSC helps young children and families of Nevada by supporting the needs of the state’s child care providers. Child care providers of all types now have one location to access resources, support and information to provide the best care to the families they serve. The Reno location will support Northern Nevada providers and mirror the center opened earlier this year in Las Vegas.

The grand opening event will include remarks from Governor Steve Sisolak, child care providers, supporters and on-site CCSC partners. Attendees will have an opportunity to tour the facility and speak with partner agencies.

CCSC is funded through grants provided by the Division of Welfare and Supportive Services, Child Care and Development Block Grant - Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Act (CRRSA); and Child Care and Development Block Grant – American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

When: Thursday, July 14, 2022, 11 a.m.
Where: Reno, for location details, please email Shannon Litz at SDLitz@dhhs.nv.gov
