Governor Sisolak, First Lady Kathy Sisolak receive COVID-19 booster vaccines

LAS VEGAS, NV – May 24, 2022

Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and First Lady Kathy Sisolak received their second COVID-19 vaccine booster doses at the Southern Nevada Health District.

“While the COVID-19 State of Emergency has ended in Nevada, it’s still important to do our part to mitigate the spread of COVID-19,” said Governor Sisolak. “Today, Kathy and I were proud to get our second booster doses to help keep ourselves and our loved ones healthy as summer celebrations and holidays begin.”

The Governor and First Lady both received a Moderna vaccine for their second booster. The First Lady’s initial COVID-19 vaccinations were the Moderna product, as well as her first booster. The Governor’s first vaccine was the Janssen vaccine, often called J&J, and his first booster was a Moderna dose.

Both the Governor and First Lady are eligible for their booster doses due to their age. Current booster recommendations are available here and Nevadans can find vaccine availability and appointments online here or by calling the State’s COVID-19 hotline at 800-401-0946.
