Las Vegas, NV – May 11, 2022
Today, Governor Sisolak held a roundtable discussion with incoming and outgoing student body presidents from high schools across the Las Vegas Valley to hear about their plans for the upcoming school year, what the pandemic has been like for students and the status of mental health.
“These students have faced unprecedented challenges during their time in high school through the pandemic and have led their peers through it all,” said Governor Sisolak. “I’m glad I got the chance to sit down with them to learn what the biggest challenges were and what the State can do to help them succeed going into the next school year.”
Nearly 20 incoming and outgoing student body presidents joined the Governor at Durango High School this afternoon, as well as student reporters from schools across the Las Vegas Valley.
