CARSON CITY, NV - March 16, 2022
On Wednesday, March 23, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will establish a new Shared Stewardship agreement focused on outdoor recreation throughout Nevada. He will be joined by representatives from the:
- Nevada Department of Conservation and Natural Resources,
- Nevada Department of Wildlife,
- Nevada Department of Tourism and Cultural Affairs,
- Nevada Department of Transportation,
- National Park Service,
- US Forest Service,
- US Bureau of Reclamation,
- US Bureau of Land Management, and
- US Fish and Wildlife Service
The Nevada Agreement for Recreation Shared Stewardship is a strategic partnership that will serve as a model for multi-agency collaboration to address the multi-faceted challenges facing Nevada’s communities and natural environment, while advancing sustainable recreation opportunities and a vibrant outdoor economy for the state.
During the signing event, the Governor and other State and Federal leaders will provide remarks focused on what the agreement entails, and how it will benefit Nevada for generations to come.
