Governor Sisolak, Deputy Superintendent Todtman Visit Students to Celebrate Gratitude Ahead of Thanksgiving

LAS VEGAS, Nev. - November 22, 2021

Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak and Nevada Department of Education Deputy Superintendent Jessica Todtman visited C C Ronnow Elementary School for activities focused on the theme of gratitude. Activities included a read-aloud from “The Thankful Book,” performance of the “Thankful Song” by the school’s kindergarten students, and a turkey art project with third grade students.

“This time of year, it is important to focus on what we are grateful for, and I am grateful for each Nevadan in our State and grateful to spend some time with the next generation of leaders at C C Ronnow Elementary School,” said Governor Sisolak. “Especially now, as we continue to rebuild from the COVID-19 pandemic, we must pause to reflect on the gifts we each have. I deeply enjoyed this special opportunity to hear from some of our youngest citizens about what they are grateful for.”

Additionally, the Governor was able to join the Nevada National Guard in honoring Principal Michelee Crawford with an Air Force Commendation Medal, which is given out for sustained acts of heroism or meritorious service.
