TODAY AT 1:30 P.M.: Governor Sisolak to receive COVID-19 vaccine alongside frontline grocery store workers

LAS VEGAS, NV – March 11, 2021

Today, Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak will receive a COVID-19 vaccine at 1:30 p.m. at an Albertsons in Southern Nevada alongside frontline grocery store workers.

The Governor is eligible both due to his age and his occupation, according to the Nevada COVID-19 Vaccine Playbook. The Governor will be immunized alongside frontline grocery story workers, who are eligible under the “end-to-end essential goods supply chain” category within the “Frontline/Essential Workforce” prioritization lane.

The Governor will be joined by leadership from United Food and Commercial Workers (U.F.C.W.) Local 711, which has helped ensure their membership is aware of opportunities for vaccination.

The event will be open to the press. Media outlets will be required to abide by all current COVID-19 protocols, including wearing face coverings and practicing social distancing. Media outlets are asked to limit the size of the crew they send to help with social distancing.

To RSVP for the event, and for the address of the Albertsons, press is asked to RSVP to no later than 11 a.m.
