THURSDAY AT 6:00 P.M.: Governor Sisolak, Immunize Nevada to announce final round of Vax Nevada Days winners at Las Vegas Convention Center

The final announcement will include over $2 million in cash and tuition prizes, including the $1 million grand prize

Las Vegas - August 25, 2021

Governor Sisolak, Immunize Nevada and special guests will announce the final Vax Nevada Days winners Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Las Vegas Convention Center. In Las Vegas, the Governor will be joined by Senator Jacky Rosen, Congresswoman Dina Titus, Treasurer Zach Conine and Steve Hill, Chief Executive Officer/President of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

Additionally, members of the Nevada Legislature and local officials have been invited to join the event in person in Las Vegas or attend a viewing party for Northern Nevada winners and press at Reno nonprofit Sierra Arts Foundation in their Riverside Gallery.

Vax Nevada Days, a public health initiative launched in June 2021, will have doled out $5 million in cash and prizes to nearly 2,000 Nevada residents who initiated the COVID-19 vaccine process during the incentive time frame. At this final prize announcement the winner of the grand prize of $1 million will be announced.

The Governor will be joined by Immunize Nevada representatives and prize winners*. The event will be streamed on the Nevada Health Response YouTube Channel.

Media are asked to RSVP indicating their preferred location to no later than noon on Thursday and to be on-site at their respective destinations no later than 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. Interview opportunities will be available after the event concludes. Those in attendance must wear a mask.

*In accordance with the drawing procedure outlined in the Vax Nevada Days Official Rules, prize winners will be required to confirm identity, eligibility, and acceptance of the prize before receiving the prize. Winners of larger cash prizes and tuition prizes will be contacted in advance of each announcement but will not know the specific prize they won until the announcement date.
